Mari Mobility, the company that was originally called MariCAR, holds a serious grudge against Nintendo. The Big N took them to court over issues with the go-kart company using Nintendo imagery and characters to promote their business. After a long battle, Nintendo came out the winner, and Mari Mobility ended up owing some serious cash.

Rather than just calling it a day and moving on from their mistakes, Mari Mobility continues to act extremely petty. Not that long ago, the company filed a 'Unrelated to Nintendo' trademark in both Japanese and English as a way to thumb their nose at Nintendo. The company has followed that with "Unrelated to NinOOODo" this time, which was shut down almost instantly.

While the name obviously is yet another shot fired at Nintendo, there's more to it than that. The trademark in Japan reads as "任○堂は無関係", but it's the missing kanji 天, so people would read it as “Nintendo” anyway. It was a sneaky way to try and get around any issues with the trademark, but the trademark office saw through it and squashed the registration.
