Nintendo is offering up a series of Super Mario 35th anniversary pins to 3,500 lucky winners in Japan. Those who want a chance at winning these pins will need to earn online points to enter a lottery and then cross their fingers. Full details on how to enter are below.

- entrants will need to sign up for a Japanese My Nintendo Account
- log into the special website for the pin set using a My Nintendo account and accept the terms of service
- complete various challenges to earn points
- challenges include participating in the timed-exclusive online events for games like Super Smash Bros Ultimate, Mario Kart Tour, and Super Mario Bros 35
- grow your scores and enter to win the pins in multiple ways
- entrants can choose the pins individually or choose the full set
- it costs 1 point to enter for each pin or 6 points to enter for the full set
- winners will be notified by email after the contest ends
- those who register Super Mario 3D All-Stars or the upcoming Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury to their My Nintendo Account will immediately gain 6 points
- there are three free wallpapers to redeem
- only those who enter to win the Mario pins can access them after they’ve accumulated enough points
- redeeming the wallpapers will not reduce your score
