Nintendo shifted focus from the 3DS to Switch some time ago, and as the months roll on, the Big N continues to sunset various components of their 3DS business.

Nintendo has announced that they'll no longer accept 3DS and 3DS XL units for repair in Japan starting April 1st, 2021. This is due to the parts necessary for repairs, as there's a shortage of those components. For those who have a New 3DS, New 3DS XL, 2DS, and 2DS XL, repairs will carry on as usual.

Thanks to Sligeach_eire for the heads up!
