What a delightful image, don't you think? That's something that the 'Action Alliance' is using to promote their upcoming event, in which they are hoping to get German gamers to throw away their 'killer' games. I love being compared to a Nazi, don't you?

"I love being compared to a Nazi, don't you?"
:/ yeah. They'd better fight against neo-nazis groups before talking about games. But no, they prefer to turn a blind eye to Nazism, because you know, it's too much uncomfortable.

Is there any proof that this is official? If anything, the image on the right could only be based on the "please don't litter" sign you see everywhere, because so is the one on the left...

Quote:
GP reader Matthias noted that one image used in the group’s promotion for the event appears to use a modified copy of an image designed to aid Germany in ridding use of the swastika, substituting a CD or DVD for the Nazi symbol.

Looks like I was right. I'm sorry but whoever submitted this is grasping at straws. The "please throw your killer games away" graphic is based on the "don't litter" sign and has nothing to do with Nazis, it gets modified all the time for all sorts of things/causes. It is not "Nazi-related imagery".

@Hongo

Did you just invoke Godwin's law in the third comment of a post about Germany invoking Godwin's law? I think you just broke the internet.

As a dad, I'm a proponent for keeping violent games out of the hands of young kids. But that illustration disturbs me deeply. It's akin to shouting fire in a crowded theater just to get people's attention.

I'm a fiscal conservative. I've been called a nazi so many times it really doesn't bother me anymore.

Based on the article, it seems that they are using a modified version of the nazi sign, not actually comparing violent games to nazi imagery, but I can see where people would reach that conclusion.

The anti-nazi sign is a parody of a recycling sign itself, so meh.
Also, Heil Miyamoto!
