But still...why is Wi-Fi not the obvious choice? Must we kill the environment by driving out to a nearby Toys 'R' Us, which in 9 out of 9.1 cases is a good 10 minute drive away?

I am also unamused by the fact that all the Wi-Fi events you do are Platinum-only, but that's another matter entirely...
Meanwhile, you can't glitch to get Arceus.
Likewise, in Platinum, they could only be accessed in the game via their items activating them. DP has them there regardless.
But I don't know if that's why we didn't get the events for real.
Also, this might be the first time a sales ploy works in their favor (from me, anyways). I have a few DS games coming out the 10th...
Now, to go to Toys R Us, stand in the corner, pretend I'm not doing anything, and leave. They won't suspect anything.
