It may be brief, but MTV actually got Miyamoto to comment on Zelda Wii. He doesn't say much, but at least he does talk about the title!
For our friends that can't view the MTV videos, I've put the blurb below...
"It's very fun to move your body around."

Playing soul calibur, are you?
I think Miyamoto is talking about Wii Motion +, though.
I hope Zelda Wii turns out as incredible as it must to impress me.
he must be getting old, because i didnt notice that last year.
@roninalchemist
i know, right?
sounds like something they would do
I wouldn't mind some change.
I gotta feeling....
You're just talking about the graphics. Miyamoto wasn't. :/
Great.
Mah boi, you forget these pieces of ship:

These are the games of evil, you must destroy each.
*end cheesy quote altering*
To the Spirit Tracks stuff: I'm with RustyCage, Miyamoto is talking about the DS' capabilities, as in the touch screen and microphone. I didn't hear it as "graphical power," I understood it as using the touchscreen and microphone more (which we've already seen in some ways, like controlling the Phantom, using the whip, and that device called Whirlwind that you blow into the microphone for).
@MrBubbles
If anything I'm only expecting Zelda Wii to use the balance board for mini-games. I don't think it'd be a part of the main game like Wii Fit. The only accessory I'm expecting it to use is Motion+.
@DoubleDragon
I don't think Miyamoto will direct it. He'll produce it like he's been doing for years, but I don't see him directing. He hasn't directed a Zelda game since the original! No kidding, just look at the credits from Zelda II onwards. Ever since Zelda II he's only acted as producer. Link's Awakening and the DS Zelda's only have him as executive producer, meaning his work on those wasn't much.
Twilight Princess (and Phantom Hourglass) just didn't feel like Miyamoto games to me. I'd like it if he keeps his hands tight on the wheel with this one.
I wonder what will come of it.
Miyamoto had plenty to do with Twilight Princess. He said that it was the most hands-on he's been on the franchise since Ocarina of Time. Aonuma played a larger role in Wind Waker and, frankly, he is more progressive than Miyamoto in several regards.
So, really, I'm not sure what you're getting at here in terms of the Miyamoto "feel". Wind Waker was probably Aonuma's biggest project. Miyamoto was involved of course, but to a lesser degree. There are many other factors to consider and he played a significantly smaller role in Wind Waker, so I don't think Miyamoto has anything to do with the fact that you prefer Wind Waker.
He was actually the director of Twilight Princess for some time before Aonuma took over, and even as producer he was more involved than usual. With Wind Waker he was pretty hands-off.
@Eternal Rain
Where did you get that from o_0? Miyamoto was the main director for Ocarina of Time.
The producer is pretty much just as important as the director, it isn't always true but they normally set out the greater vision for the title. Look at the influence Gunpei Yokoi had on Metroid, and he was ALWAYS the producer, in contrast Eiji Aonuma was the director of Majora's Mask and it is considered to be his game.

Love Miyamoto, come on good sir Zelda Wii NEEDS motion controlled combat (it is basically 'free' innovation) and use the Wii hardware to the fullest.
