It looks like Game Informer is having trouble with some of their video features. There are supposed to be 5 new videos, but a couple of them aren't linked properly. Keep an eye on the official 5-page feature to see the new videos. Make sure you click over now to check out new concept art, as well as explanations for each video.

Either way, the videos look pretty cool. The animation is smooth and captures the cartoony feel. I like it.
I still can't see any of the videos when I go to the page directly. Oh well, I'm sure they'll turn up on Youtube sooner or later...
Oh dang.
i think what would put this game over the top for me would be a different rendering filter... as in cel-shading or something other than straight 3d.
EDIT: After watching the videos.... I agree with cort, I would have liked to see a different artstyle. It's really quite generic 3D of sorts. I did like the last animation of Mickey jumping as you can see the stretchyness as he moves.
WANT.
Well anyways, I do like the look of the animations. It looks much like the cartoon.
@cortjezter
They never seemed to work for me here. I always just click the direct link and watch it on their site.
yep. i watched them on the GI site too.
It looks stupid.
I assume you've never seen classic Disney cartoons then. It's a thing Walt himself always wanted, for Mickey's ears to always be visable and round no matter how he turned (I remember an episode of House of Mouse even broke the fourth wall with Mickey himself referencing this). I think there was a small amount of old toons (around the 40s and 50s) that had his ears drawn differently, but they returned back to Walt's original style for the stuff after that.
I bet if you were more into classic Disney stuff like me you probably wouldn't be bothered by something that's been a staple of the character for over 80 years.
It's nothing new, actually. Even in Mickey Mouse Clubhouse (SHUDDER) they did the same thing. I'm not sure why they mention that as though it's something new/groundbreaking.
Yeah, as has already been said that's how Mickey's ears are supposed to work, always circles in the cartoons.
I like his ears like that, and I was glad to see that they will keep it like that in the game. I don't think it looks stupid, though I do kinda agree with cort and burgers. You, well you're a goofy goober! Chew on that bumble boy.
Yeah, I agree with Cort, something other than straight 3-D would look cool, and would probably sell me on the ear thing, since even Mickey Mouse Clubhouse renders Mickey in a flat black making the ears look like the animated versions, while the highlights on the Epic version throw me off...
if that makes sense...
I agree with the TF2 comparison.
Fun fact: the style TF2 uses is actually the opposite of cel-shading, emphasizing highlights instead of outlines.
just because you are heterosexual it doesn't mean I can't think you enjoy pectorals. We even?
Oh, they're going to kill us with the waiting game.

I don't understand what your fascination is with insulting people, but get over it.
You're complaining about a game staying true to the source material.
You're entitled to think it looks stupid, but no need to call Eternal Rain a douche.
Nor do I see how you can complain about something that you see for a split second in the video.
EDIT:
Why does RMC try embedding these when pretty much everyone confirms that it doesn't work here?
The level design looked a little bland in the GI screens earlier, but newer screens are showing more interesting areas. As long as they keep that up, I think the game will look great, but I'm already on board with the style. I think it suits the Disney look they're going for better than cel shading would. I think the TF2 comparison earlier is pretty fitting. It's not quite that same style but it's fairly reminiscent of that.
@MoldyClay
Eh, the issue isn't with the embed code so much as the video itself, so it might just be temporary problem on their end. He's embedded GI videos before and they've worked, so it could still work now. The code will be the same unless they need to reupload the videos.
For those who can't get the videos to work, here are direct links to the videos themselves. Unlike the embeds, these should work:

What? Since when did outlines define cel-shading? Have you played Wind Waker?
Yes, and Wind Waker did as well, just because there isn't a big black line like in other titles doesn't mean it isn't doing it.
Necrochild is right, the outline is one of the key aspects of cel shading. The most important things is to have an outline and the shading must be done with relatively few (and distinct) gradients. If it's missing either one, it isn't really considered cel shaded. Both are key in recreating the style you'd see on animation cels.
