October 22, 2009 by RawmeatCowboy Filed Under: Wii, Nintendo in general, virtual console

A portion of a GameDaily interview with WayForward's Sean Velasco...

GD: ...any chance we'll see the original on Virtual Console? How difficult would that be to pull off?

SV: I imagine that it would be very simple to do. However, that ball is in Majesco and Nintendo's court. We would love to see it happen, though. Same goes for The Rescue of Princess Blobette on Game Boy, but unfortunately, there is no venue for that at the moment. DSi, I'm looking at you.

GD: If we gave you free reign to give the A Boy and His Blob treatment to another classic NES game, which one would it be and why? We know, we know.
Clash at Demonhead. We knew it! No seriously...which one would you choose?

SV: How'd you know? Clash at Demonhead is one of Matt Bozon's (creative director) targets to redux. If I had to choose one realistically, I think it would have to be E.V.O.: The Search for Eden [on SNES]. I've said it before, but the potential for that game is so enormous. Here's my throwdown; if we made that game, it would outscore Spore!

E.V.O. is one of my favorite games. I think WayForward would do it justice.

E.V.O is basically spore though. lol I guess it could be done where the evolution process isn't as boring.

So many talented indie developers are popping up this gen. I applaud them for their efforts.

Gajin Games, WayForward, 5th Cell, High Voltage, the guys who made Cave Story

All talented developers who surely love what they do...

I love when he said "DSi, I'm looking at you".

He's like us! He doesn't know if we're going to have a DS VC, but... HE WANTS IT TOO!

For some reason that makes me happy.
