S&P2 doesn't look so good as of sales, I wonder how that would compare to S&P(the original) sales whenever it was released...

[WII] Sin and Punishment 2 (Nintendo) - 5.6k

Oh, LOL

And then I feel bad for laughing. I really hope there is a good reason for this.

@Burgers

The original barely broke 100k, according to Media Create numbers on VGChartz. It seems it will do around those numbers.

It appears to be one of those titles that will sell the best in western territories.

It hurts to see such a list, esp. how S&P2 and Umihara Kawase have performed.

Not exactly encouraging for developers of traditional games that aren't RPGs or licensed.

this is really messed up man. i mean u can blame the Japanese market if u want but i'm not. they worked on that game for 2 years. how would u feel if ur game sold like that? i'm really distrubed by this. after all the hype of the 09 games and thus far 70% of them crashed and burned. the other 30 aren't even out yet. heck they prolly got cancelled after they saw how Nintendo really felt about them (promotion wise)

I thought S&P was big in Japan (and I don't mean like the song)

Being first day sales might just mean those titles lack the fanbase that FF has which "needs" the game right away on release day?

From that list I'd definitely want Sin and Punishment 2 as well as FF Gaiden, even though I'm not a fan of the FF games in general. Really just played IV on GBA for a while and quite some Tactics A2. Still, it's got such a great style I want to see all of the world. Never thought I'd say that about a DS game, but they really managed to put some magic into the graphics. Just hope the game will be as good as it looks.

...and people wonder why Nintendo has started making more casual games and less 'non-casual' games.
If you really do wonder, 5600 sales goes a long ways towards giving you the answer.

Sad numbers for Sin and Punishment 2, but as someone said above...the first only broke 100k in its lifetime.

I think Nintendo needs to do a better job at marketing their titles. I don't live in Japan, so I don't know how much (or little) the game was marketed over there, but when it is released in the states, they better give it a push.
