I think video games can do a lot more than people give them credit for. Humans run through a million different emotions in a day, and we need to find ways to cope with some of those reactions. With that said, video games can indeed fill a particular void at a moment in time that helps put us on the road to recovery. That includes any number of things, even friendship. Should video games be your only friend? Of course they shouldn't, but they can help to teach you about those relationships, and hopefully aid you in building some real-life bonds.
