That's quite a large amount of time for just one game! I haven't played in awhile, but I know I've pumped a ton of time into the game in my day.

And that's only for one region.
And only for Wii's which have been connected to the internet (40-50%).
And only those Wii's which have downloaded the Nintendo Channel.
And only those which chose to share usage data with the Nintendo Channel.
Altogether this data represents only 2.7 million games: A little more than 5% of Wii Sports users. Actual Wii Sports playtime is probably well over a billion hours worldwide, and even more if you factor in multiple players playing at the same time.

Correct about this being one region and not representative of ALL hours played.
I was surprised by the 2.7 million number reporting data.
