Could this be a retailer-wide price drop? As you can see from the image above, GameStop has lowered the price of The Conduit to $30. We can also note that Best Buy and Amazon have done the same. Looks like SEGA may have gone in on a budget price for this one. Thanks to CoffeewithChess for the heads up!

Nope.
well i´m not a FPS fan, you said that was a huge disappointment for you, but for me that i´m a ignorant in FPS maybe i will like it for 30 bucks
I'm only saying it's a huge disappointment because of how much they amped up their own game, along with IGN. The single player is still fun (albeit too short and a way to abrupt ending) and when the multiplayer works and isn't running at 3fps or being overrun by hackers it's fun. But that's rare because for whatever reason I always feel like i'm playing against people who have dial-up.
And SEGA/HVS will make less money off of it now.
There was an article about 'early' sales actually being very important to a title. Everybody here seems to forget that, as a studio, you can't wait years for profits to slowly trickle in, you need a very good consistent reception right off the bat to come out ahead in profits and continue on with other projects.
A price drop at this stage is not terrible, 'tis great for gamers, but not so good for SEGA or HVS.
My thoughts exactly. If you don't go into it expecting CoD: MW3 like a lot of people did, then you'll be pleasantly surprised and should have plenty of fun. ;D
Fro~
It could be your connection actually.
I had to do something with my router (DNS enabling or something), and then the online worked perfectly.
No chance. When I play against my friends who I know have a good connection the game runs flawlessly at 30fps. Full room of people or not.
But doesn't it feel at a slower pace than the single player? I ask because I saw some "low gravity" multiplayer sessions going on. Maybe it's because of network issues, but I doubt it.
@WesFX
I'm with both of you guys. It's more then worth it at 30 bucks. I bought it at full and don't regret it at all, it's a very enjoyable game.
this game is easily the worst game i've played this gen. if any of you would like to own the collector's edition of this title, i'm totally willing to trade it. i've had it posted on craigslist for almost two months, and not one response. this game blows. red steel was better.
When are we able to pick up Deadspace for $20 or something?
A bit overboard with the hyperbole there, methinks. I've clocked over 100 hours with the game and would definitely squeal for a sequel. The online cheaters are annoying, but I only get 1 or 2 of those at most, and it doesn't bother me as I end up at #2 anyway. Haven't had any of the other problems you're complaining about, so maybe it's your setup and not the game itself.
And call me crazy, but I'd rather spend $50 and support a developer who made a sincere effort to do an original, quality product on the Wii, instead of throwing away $50 on a two-year-old port from a publisher who can't even be bothered to release screens or do any sort of pre-launch promotion for their title (*cough*ModernWarfare*ahem*).

i realize that some people are able to play this game without problem. i've also put quite a few hours into this title (over 30), and like i said, it's the glitchiest game i've ever owned. as for sincere effort, i could care less how much love they put in the title, just so long as it works when i play it. the conduit doesn't work. that's why i make a point to comment whenever i see news about it, because i wouldn't spend $5 on this title, given a second chance.
also, if they cared so much about the quality of their product, why is it that they were showing off two new titles before the game ever shipped. conduit is chock full of bugs that could have been prevented
If you consider this game "crap", then that's your own damn fault for overhyping it. If you consider yourself a FPS fan, you would already have a gaming capable PC to play them on, not consoles.
Made the game a hell of a lot more appealing.
I was interested to begin with, but interest died off when it became a money issue.
Considering that the numbers represents both Europe & US, that IS disappointing.
30 bucks.... Not that bad of a price.
And yes it was the special edition with neat extras.
Still, I hope more people pick it up now.
I never overhyped it. This site sure did, though. Because it was a good looking Wii game. You know, hyped by the same people who preach that gameplay matters, not graphics. Graphics do not matter, but we will overhype The Conduit because of it!
