November 4, 2009 by RawmeatCowboy Filed Under: DSiWare, DSi

Taito announced a bit of a surprise with Space Invaders Extreme Z, a slimmed-down version of Space Invaders Extreme 2, but for DSiWare. This version of the game has time attack and score attack modes, three difficulty levels and different enemy spacing. You'll have three lives to take everyone out, so be sure you're on top of your game! The title costs 500 Nintendo Points, with any NA-related discussion yet to be had.

Bingo. Bought.

SIE1 was great and that will tide me over until I finally buy SIE2, sometime down the road when I'll have bought all the bigger, better games on my list.

Hmm. Unless the levels are new/different from something in Space Invaders Extreme 2, then I don't really care. I'm glad to buy the retail game, which I don't need a DSi to play.

But it's nice for people that would like to try the series at a lower price.

@WesFX

Yes, for example I would like to try it... but I wonder when and if it will come here in europe

Still, I'd prefer some Tetris

Hmmm, this could work well if it's understood as a demo of the game.

... well, why not make DSiWare = Demos of retail games? (for some cases, not all cases, obviously)
