Big Money...Big Prizes...Good luck, you'll need it! Some of the phrases that stick in your head after playing Smash TV, a classic top-down shooter that throws wave after wave of enemies at you, all while you're playing a reality game show in the future. While it's been awhile since anyone has talked about the game, co-creator Mark Turmell says that a revival was in the works at Midway before things fell apart for the dev. Still, Mr. Turmell believes that the title will once again see the light of day. He stopped short of any confirmation of the project continuing down a developmental path.

Oh man, that'd be nice. It can work in 3D, too. Just look at Konami's "Zombie Apocalypse".

i'll buy that for a dollar! one of my favorite games from the 16 bit era. you can't beat it, so i think it'll have to be a remake.
