Looks like Link will be getting his hands on a brand-new musical instrument in Spirit Tracks. You can get all the details on this instrument and its powers below.
- The instrument is called the Spirit Pipes
- use the DS microphone and stylus to play the Spirit Pipes
- cycle through different colored pipes to hit notes
- Spirit Pipes songs will restore Spirit Tracks
- you must search out guardians known as Lokomos, and they'll teach you a song that restores tracks to the temples

NO JUMP !
SPOILER FEST !
EDIT :
@HeresSomeWeapons
@Cody
Do you have the manual ?
I don't so that's spoiler for me. I agree that it's not really a major spoiler, but for once, I'd like to play a game knowing the least possible about it.
Sorry if I sounded rude or anything in my initial post.
On topic, I love instruments in Zelda games.
It's a pipe, guys, blow into the microphone and finger the note with the stylus... actually a really cool idea.
the main enemy is a friggin leprechaun, im loving this whole thing so much
Yeah, apparently Link and Tetra discovered Ireland.
Yeah I don't like it much, particularly on the bus, in most cases, but for playing a wind instrument it seems damn fitting and quite clever! They could make 'flute hero' or clarinet hero on DSi like this.
@Tendonin
@hcig
ha ha! Yeah but that's a nice vibe for a elvish guy who runs around in green, huh? lol
NO! NO! NO!
I thought developers had learned by now that anything involving the DS microphone should be banned from games. I can't play this with anyone around because the microphone stuff is too embarrassing.
I'm fine if people want to shout objection and hold it but I'm happy pressing buttons to do that.
If blowing on the bus embarrasses you, you wouldn't want to meet some of the girls I know... drum fill!
I am really excited for this game...please have fun NPC interactions and side quests
In Phantom Hourglass, as soon as i would get a new part of the map, I wanted to get the next one, because the world was so small, and there were not a lot of things to see. Here, it seems different. It seems like there is a lot to see on a small part of the map (the one we've seen so far). Also, it's good that you have to find a Lokomo to get into a dungeon, that way, it'll not be linear.
You should play some WarioWare-Touched! games then!
As for the pipes themselves... this seems awesome to me. No questions here.
its what ive always wanted!
@WiiLikeSportz
seriously, took them too long to go celt!
Please get some sleep Miyamoto.
And instruction manuals don't exactly keep surprises surprises all the time either.
What they're willing to divulge to us before we play the game doesn't always accommodate to people who would rather not have anything spoiled, that's common sense people.
