When Shiren the Wanderer 3 hit Japan, it featured all sorts of online interactivity. A closer look at the localized boxart (which we recently showed you) is missing something important...the WFC logo. Will the North American version go without online modes? We know that the DLC dungeons are already going to be included on the disc, which I guess could point to no online modes.

I guess if the DLC dungeons were the only reason for wifi in Japan, then unless they plan on releasing more the lack of wifi for us overseas probably isn't a loss at all.

DLC isn't exactly online stuff to begin with. It's just turning delayed content into a "feature."

And I second @Fleeman6109's MORE WII RPGs.

It still has RP on it, so that means it's not the complete boxart...

Wait until ESRB rates it and the final version is out, I'm sure they didn't cut the online out.

Couldn't you also rescue other players?

Still given how "popular" the first game was Wi-fi rescues were pretty useless since it was a case of finding a forum thread, resurrecting it from the dead, posting the code and hoping then someone would want to rescue you. End of the day I'd rather the consequences of dying and just get on with the game than wait for a rescue that may never come.

@Starwolf_UK:

Wi-fi rescues are great because you can send helpful items and the rescuer can receive something good in return instead of some random item that may just be a riceball. You could post that easy-to-type online rescue code on a forum which is much better than the cumbersome password system. No online rescues is fail.

It's happened before. Even Brawl's boxart initially didn't have a WiFi logo. I guess that this should be fixed sooner or later.
