Nice!!
I would suggest to people who haven't seen the japanese website, go look the movies there, I liked it that way, there is artwork with every piece of video.

I hope monsters are tougher. In PH, with the "auto-attack" when you touched a monster, it was too easy, and there weren't enough of them. The rest of Spirit Tracks looks awesome though.

I like Toon Link's voice, and I love Cole when he's not in evil form.

I like the music, but the way that video was set up was just weird. I assume it was a comp of the vids on the Japanese site, so that's okay though.

I like that the boomerang can carry fire. Could it do that in PH? I forget.

I like that the game has Niko in it. Stuff like that make me nostalgic and misty.

@MoldyClay

The boomerang could do that in PH as well. I remember having to do it to solve some puzzles.

Anyway, since this is just "beginning of the game" footage and I can't read the text I decided to go ahead and watch it. Really liking the music so far. Man Christmas is gonna be good this year.

This is turning out to be a pretty lame holiday season for Nintendo (again). Mario is a ds clone with some new additions, and zelda is a copy/paste job from PH (level/graphic wise). :-/

@Eternal Rain

Yeah, it's just the beginning. I also said that to myself in order to feel a little better :D

But the different areas looks small, especially Hyrule town. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

EDIT: obviously, these videos can't tell about the whole game, and I suspect the castle town to be bigger than this part shown (that I think is just the south part).

Aha! I couldn't remember because I beat the game when it came out, and I have wanted to play over since, but my DS broke last year, so I haven't had access to one, and won't until my birthday (TUESDAY! HOORAY!)

And yeah, unlike some people, I am fine with all this stuff because it's all in the beginning of the game, and on the site, and will probably be in the manual.

Damn man, leave the negativity alone. NSMBWii has way more then meets the eye when it comes to what it is and spirit tracks might have the same formula of PH but took it and stepped it up a notch. Both games are way different from the ones who came before them and they should not be called lame or anything else cause of it. That or my train fetish is making me over protective of spirit tracks.

Agreed. It's like they're realizing they don't have to try anymore with Mario and Zelda because they know we'll buy them.

I will be buying Spirit Tracks and Galaxy 2. For now I'm passing on NSMB Wii. I'm just saying that they're doing too much recycling lately and it bothers me.

Looked fantastic until they showed the game play. I hate the stylus controls so much, they're way too distracting. I want my D pad and buttons back Nintendo!

Am I the only one who noticed all InvalidRobot said about ST being copy/paste was the levels and graphics?

Technically, we haven't seen any levels disproving this, and the graphics are the same, so he's not wrong.

But I don't agree with him. The game isn't going to be the same as PH, and of course it looks the same graphically. It's a direct sequel. lol.

As for NSMBW, I am disappointed by it graphically, because I don't like the 'style' of NSMB, but I can suck it up for Luigi and the Penguin Suit.

Also, I hate the music in the NSMB style with the "wah wah" crap. In fact, I have the game ripped soundtrack from NSMBW and it's mostly crap except for the nostalgic tracks, to be quite honest (in my opinion). Midi crap you'd expect on the DS.

I wasn't expecting Galaxy levels of quality, but I think it should've taken a hint from the music from Brawl's Mushroomy Kingdom (the alternate music, like the Ground Theme with the crazy stuff going on and the underwater theme. My god. So good).
