Looks like the next Lufia game actually is going to be heading to the DS. Below, you can find the first details from Famitsu.

-3D graphics

Was to be expected. If not the DS, it would have been the PSP. I do hope the game turns out to be good.

Seems like a bit of a copout though.
Well the original team is doing the game nonetheless so I'm looking forward to it and hope it gets published in the US.

It would only be better as a Wii project, but considering the past 2 Lufia games have been portable, and the GBC one, along with Neverland's "CIMA The Enemy" were fantastic games, I've got no doubts that These people will be able to use the system without making the game feel like a console game trapped in a handheld package.
