Do you know what one of my favorite game soundtracks is? That would have to be Shantae. Do you know who composed that soundtrack? None other than Jake “virt” Kaufman, a composer that has done some amazing game scores, including Shatae and Contra IV. Do you know who just confirmed that they're going to be heading back to WayForward in January 2010? Once again, we're talking about Jake “virt” Kaufman.

We have no word on whether or not Mr. Kaufman is going to be scoring the upcoming Shantae episodic series, but I sure hope so. I'm thinking the episodic series and Mr. Kaufman's move to WayForward can't be coincidental.

@Snesboy

There's a pretty large number of people who would disagree with you on that point.

Jake is a rad guy. I was a VGMix member back in the golden days before the s*** hit the fan. I miss VGMix 2...

Wow, I just realized I've been listening to Jake/virt's music for at least 7 years already, and not just his official game work. Crazy. Awesome stuff.

@Snesboy
