I held one in the store, and let me tell you... This thing is might be waaaay too big, it was really shocking. Like portable DVD player sized.

@Styster
I'm always amazed when I see comparison pics, but I know when I actually get mine, I'll be blown away.
Hurry with those screen protectors, PlayAsia!

Haha, massive! I'm sure people will either love this or hate this, so it makes sense that they're going to offer both sizes. Personally even if this one was out when I got my DSi, I'd have chosen regular-size DSi. I'm not even confident that thing would fit in my pants pockets.

I'm not going to get one, but if I got one for free I'd use it every now and then for touch screen only games. Probably good for Elite Beat Agents and Ouendan. I'm happy with my portable DSi

Pretty cool, but because this is probably too big to fit into most of my clothing pockets and also because I already have a DSI I don't feel compelled to buy this. Still good for those who waited out I suppose.

I want one of those fuzzy-head helmets everyone seems to have in that picture.

i hope they get into the e-reader market. i'd love to download some books onto that thing, and hold it sideways. those screens are absolutely awesome. i'm just drooling seeing how big those screens are. i love my games, but i wouldn't mind the option of reading a book here and there on that thing.
personally, i don't see what the big deal is about putting a game device in your pockets. if you're traveling, usually you play it in your car, or if you're taking the train, you usually got a backpack. i just can't relate to what people are saying. thats the one sure way to get your gaming device to die, is to put it in your pocket. either you sit on it, or it falls out of your pocket and the hinge or screen breaks.

Massive fan of the DSiXL, I'm tossing up between it or an ipod touch. I still haven't upgraded since the DS Phat.

Oh man, I'm actually diggin' the larger than life DSi! I'd only use it at home or on my break at work, so the larger size (ie: not as portable) is not a concern.

Neato; after struggling with some Google translations, I think the LL also comes with 1,000 free DSi Points, plus, of course, the pre-installed software.
Good for those weird Japanese DSiWare games that might not make it overseas (for those who imported the DSi LL).

Even though this is a larger version of the DSi and was released more than a year since the origial model, the DSi LL still is able to have people line-up to buy it. I wonder how many units will be sold in its first day.

I'm loving the idea of a bigger DSi, I think I'm going to get one. The bigger, the better I say; I never put it in my pocket anyway.

I didn't think that there were people who hadn't bought a DS because of a bigger screen.

that is friggin' huge but I still am going to get a dsi regular instead

Is the DSi LL/XL replacing the current DSi, or is it just an alternative system?

That thing has some style! Love the "metal" sides. Results in a more professional look. But....still not purchasing.

Phew; glad I managed to do a last-minute change to the Wine Red one @ PlayAsia. That being said, my quest for a delicious, Chocolate Brown DS continues...
