Notice something a little off with the Resident Evil: Darkside Chronicles boxart above? It's missing the 'Wii' logo that you normally find on the left-hand side. Did Capcom do this on purpose in order to make the box a little fancy, or was it just a mistake?! Thanks to AJM_Ruler for the heads up.

I would still prefer if they were well detailed like the Nintendo DS sides.

It's just that Capcom hates the Wii coz it's a kiddy toy, so they make crap games like this just to earn a quick buck....

This game is coming out here in Europe on Friday and damn am I excited :) Let's just hope I got enough money forit :S

They just want you to take the game seriously and forget that you're buying it for the minigames machine..

Well, the Aussie version of Metroid Trilogy doesn't have the Wii spine logo either. The throwaway slip cover does, but not the actual slick, which i thought was weird being a ninty published game.

Capcom wants to hide the fact that it's a Wii game so that it might actually sell well!

I was thinking since Capcom gipped me of my Wii Logo, I think I might just print one off the intrawebs and put it in there.

It just doesn't look right.....

This WILL tick off most collectors, I guess. I wouldn't be too happy myself.

@gojiguy

Mid 2009...I can remember Little King's Story as my first seen multi-colored disc art, and the game was released around July (Rune Factory frontier, published also by Xseed in March, still got the simplistic style). After LKS, the feature have been common, if not mandatory in all other games I have seen (Lets Tap, Spyborgs, New SUper Mario Bros, etc.). Of course...with the wii games average sales, I am not surprised if most people will see it for the first time with New Super Mario Bros and Darkside Chronicles XD.

@gojiguy

The Conduit was the first title I noticed that had it. I actually prefer the new disc art style over the old one.

I saw this article and then glanced over at my copy of DC, and lo and behold, someone robbed it of it's Wii logo-age. Wow. I'm guessing 100% that they forgot it. Not as bad as the IGN-Okami cover screwup. It looks like Capcom needs to get a new guy for putting together their boxart in NA, as this is now a trend from Capcom.

They do not have the Wii in mind even when they produce a Wii game.

Serriously though probably nothing to do with Capcom...unless they do the printing for the boxarts?

Good thing I no longer have any interest in the Resident Evil series, or that would really piss me off.
