It's a sad day when DJ Hero beats a 2D Mario game of awesome. D:

Not dissin' DJ Hero, which I'm sure is a boatload of fun, but I would like to find out why this magazine gave Mario the score it did.

Hmmm, seems kinda strange that the 20 years old game tales from monkey island wiiware episode game had the highest scrore over everything including lost winds and nsmbw. :-|

@Freddy Fro

Probably because, well, it's mario. It's such a "set" thing now, so it gets points for being great, but 9's are generally reserved for being original, which NSMBW, great as it is, is not.
@Ravengamer

When the wii gets it you really have to. It's an amazing episode.

I wouldn't get too hung up on the scores. Don't forget those three titles are in different genres. In fact, in their NSMBwii review, they clearly state that as multiplayer platformers go, it's better than LittleBigPlanet, which was indeed something I was wondering about (seeing as that was LBP's main catch and anyone could see that going solo just exposed the big gaps in its platforming engine - not sure what that means for the singleplayer PSP LBP due out soon, but I'm sure we'll find out...)
