It's like every other list out there - not better, not worse, though naturally there are quite a lot of questionable decisions.

I've seen too many lists of that kind to really care about them anymore, especially because most of these lists never make it clear what they want to accomplish.

Greatest game of ALL time ? Best game at its time ? Most influencial game ? Other than that, let me just note that there are quite a lot of new (and definitely not "perfect") games on the list

I personally believe OOT should be WAY higher and Super Metroid should be at least in the top 10, it's far superior to the NES game

I never understand these lists what makes them the top. Is it because they are all better game. Is it because they are the most influential or is it for nostalgia reason... because I would never put mario 1 above the later mario nor would I put zelda 1 above Ocarina or Twilight, unless of course it was for the influence they had.

Any list with Call of Duty 4 in the top 100 shouldn't be taken seriously.

Let alone in the top 20 ahead of Galaxy, Metroid Prime etc.

well its tough. so many sequels in that list. i would have cut out a few of the sequels out from the list, in favor of some lesser known but underrated games. i probably would have cut the list down to 100 to give it more focus.

one thing that surprised me is how many of the recent games are on this list. the way i see it, this is like a hall of fame game list. i think a game needs to have been out for at the very least 5 years to really gauge the impact. as we all know, some games age better than others, but it takes some years to really see that.

this isn't that different in naming the greatest players in a specific sport. obviously, players (games) of today are better in every way, but we are talking about the impact a player (game) has on the sport (industry) here.

Modertn Warfare and Uncharted 2 look like they were.... At the very least, they should've made a cutoff point so that all included games have at least a year of hindsight.

But I'm glad EarthBound made the list. Seeing Phoenix Wright was a nice surprise too.

sorry, smb3 is the best game of all time. also the highest selling game of all time. i dislike seeing gaming history being rewrote by hacks. stupid gamestop employees.
