First off, I want to state that this may not be the fault of Gamestation, but instead, the people they do their shipping through. With that said, I can understand how a customer would be upset having paid for a special edition of a game, only to get this in the mail.
Apparently, many Gamestation customers had the same thing happen to them with their New Super Mario Bros. Wii tin. Of course, now these people are worried about their limited edition purchase of The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks. Let's hope that by bringing attention to this issue, Gamestation may consider working with another shipping outlet, or at least give them special precautions. Thanks to Vigo for the heads up!

Why would you wanna have mario in a tin can in the first place?
"Here's an idea for a special edition...Let's put the game in a tin can. That way, they have to open the can before they can get to the box"
People are stupid.

Hmm honestly I don't see the appeal behind the tin anyways. Even the design on it is very bland and boring.
Sucks that it was ruined in shipping though.

I pre-ordered the limited tin edition of Spirit tracks. If it comes through the post like this or without my figurines or something i swear i will go insane.

Even though I'm sour that NA didn't get any kind of special packaging, I empathize with those people who received their packages this way. It may be the fault of the carrier, but the retailer could have done a much better precautionary packaging job.

Happens quite often. Especially, with magazines as the postie tends to have to bend them to fit them in the letterbox. Add a 1.5 drop after that and you can see how things become damaged.
But yeah GAME Group should have used better packaging for a limited edition *is suddenly reminded of the US Halo 3 Limited Editions which had such bad box design the discs tended to fall out and get scratched to pieces*

If I had paid extra money for a special edition of a game, I would assume that the people who sold the game would at LEAST wrap the dam thing in good packaging. In online sales, shipping can mean everything.
If I were the person in the pictures above, I would call them and demand a full replacement and for them to pay shipping for the return and for the new item. This would be especially awful if the item had happened to be a gift for someone for Christmas or for a birthday....

This is the norm, now. People just don't care as much as they did when they had morality. Without Christ there is no standard or morality and no desire to do the right thing all the time.

The more I think about it, the funnier it becomes. Which is strange, because I've had problems with a couple of shipped items recently, that isn't too different than this.
