"Part two made more than one, three made more than two and we're hoping four will make more than three. It keeps the franchise strong. What we want to avoid is what's happening with the Saw franchise which is going the other way. We're hoping Paul being back in the driver's seat with 3-D and these big action set pieces will keep it going." - producer Don Carmody

Mr. Carmody was also asked about the return of Jill Valentine, to which he gave this cagey response...

"it's going to be surprising and it's going to make people think what's going to happen next."

Thanks to Jonny4 for the heads up!

One was pretty good, despite having little to do with the video games, two was borderline decent (to it's credit, it contains the most familiar elements from the games the fans would know) but three was an absolute pile of sh*t for many reasons. I can't imagine 4 being worse, but I will keep my expectations at zero until after I watch it. =/

All the talk of more money and 3D tech, and none about actually making a good film makes me very fearful.

Of for God's sake, get it through your damn heads, WE DON'T LIKE IT!!!

Fans of the RE games don't enjoy Paul W.S. Anderson's crappy reimagining of the RE Story.

You made Alice beat Nemesis in an freaking fist fight, and you expect that to go over well with fans?!
Now she has an army of clones at her command, so what's next???

Just hurry up and give Alice DBZ powers already... Just go ahead and have her kill William Birkin with the Kamehameha.
All these damn movies are good for is lulz anyhow.

When are companies going to learn NEVER to give the rights to make a Movie Adaption of one of their games, unless the directer is an actual Fan of the series?

1.- OK, it was more of a spinf off
2.- SUCKED!!!!!! For starter, no one is better than Jill. Making Jill look like a secondary good for nothing character was mayorly stupid!!!!
3.- I dont dare to touch it, specially since it features Claire Redfield, they already destroyed Jill and Carlos, why would they bring Claire.
4.- They are bringing Chris this time around, guess why i wont be seeing it

for real, i hope it flops hard!!!! I dont know why Capcom lets them do this!!!

If they wanna make Resident Evil movies, go the Degeneration way, that movie was AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!

they are fun movies. i didnt care for the 2nd movie as much.

come on people, they aren't THAT bad. besides, if you want a RE that follows the video game story EXACTLY, then why not just play the game?

I felt all motion pictures were bad and not something RE fans would enjoy..

Degeneration was ok though.

It sounds like Jill dies or becomes a super-monster.

Ugh, they really should just scrap Alice and her stupid clones. It's like Paul Anderson isn't even hiding his favoritism from his wife and baby mama (Milla Jovovich).

The movies are still okay (if a little bit too French-Canadian), but Alice just brings a whole new world of sci-fi crazy.
