More players every day...more hackers as well. I don't get why people want to ruin this online game for others. What do they achieve from this? Thanks to CoffeewithChess for the heads up.

... To his defense he says he won't give the codes to not ruin the game but what keeps him from using it to his advantage?

been playing online for a while now, never encountered a hacker.
Its funny how people keeps on posting this things, but i had never encountered them
People still talk of hackers on mario kart wii, 1 year and a hald after and still i hadn't run into one. People talk of lag in brawl, i only had talk when i didnt realize i didnt pause my downloads on my pc. Poeple were angry about the spawn glitch on the conduit, never experienced. now this.
I'm pretty lucky it seems
@NeroSuferoth
sadly, nothing, but looking at it, they seem to be ocarina codes. in the only thing i use are in brawl, and cuz thos balance brawl code do make the games 10 times better (a friend loves to use lots of cheap moves, like the infinte grab of falco)

Yep, 11 hours of play and haven't found a hacker. The only problem is the hacked leaderboard but other than that, online in this has been amazing!
Also like you, I've never found a hacker in MKWii and yet people go on about them all the time. Guess I'm lucky too (aside from the conduit spawn glitch, got that constantly) :p

If you notice though, I think this "hack" affects everybody in the match. I think everybody has infinite ammo. Also, notice how the score basically doesn't change, but somehow the other team did get a score of 10.

Instead of whining how about you report his username to Treyarch so they can ban him.
*not directed to any of the commenters here necessarily, just those who whine when they could be doing something about it*

I have not experienced any hackers and I play just about every night. So take it from those who actually play this game online--hackers are not ruining anything! However, it would be nice if there was away to combat this if Nintendo allowed patches.
@JamPony
That may not work as a user can change their name while maintaining the same account/friend code. However, you can't see a user's friend code. Even you could that same person will just create a new account. So other users can't really do much if they encounter a hack.

Man, it would blow if these codes were released. Specially for us who play fairly.

This is why Nintendo need to shutdown the homebrew channel, should do a file search everytime you go online like xbox live.

well thanks for the info . It's really those last thirty days that the hackers situation got out of hand in the conduit. So much that i'm considering this game. Even though imo their style are a bit different.
overpowered weapon, hyperjump and probably invincibility , a big lot of crap . I suppose map glitchers will be even harder to spot. well bad news really . It started the same way with the conduit.

This is why you get a PC if you want to play online games. Even Xbox Live is barely worth playing online with, and you have to pay to do it too. can't really comment on PSN.
@neph
The homebrew/piracy scene is so entrenched that the Wii will never recover. Even causing modded systems to brick won't help as there is software that allows you to recover all the system files just as new.

Wow that hack looks incredibly awesome tho. You got to admit. Really just being able to jump that high and see everything is so cool. Anyways it didnt look like he was having any luck killing the other players.

I run into hackers all of the time. It's the reason why I stopped playing The Conduit. Ruins the whole experience. No way to kick people out or report.

I certainly am hugely discouraged of even trying to play on-line on the Wii.
