Level-5 just recently held the premiere for Professor Layton and the Devil's Flute in Japan, but it wasn't all celebration for the new game. There was also some talk of the next game in the series, as well as other goodies. Check out the details below.

- ten minute red carpet welcome for Layton voice cast
- greeting by CEO Akihiro Hin
- talk session with the voice actors
- live performance of the game's ending theme by Yuko Ando
- Professor Layton and the Mask of Miracles officially announced
- Professor Layton and the Mask of Miracles takes place in Casino City, which was created by the magic power of the mask
- this is the same mask worn by Death Call in Devil's Flute
- the mask can grant wishes, but has also been linked to various mysterious incidents
- "The truth is hidden deep within the mask"
- series mechanics are set for a major change with Professor Layton and the Mask of Miracles
- due out Fall 2010
- more movies could happen, with the second season of Layton games being considered

- as the chart above shows, the second movie would follow the release of Miracle Mask but come before the third game in the second series
- Level-5 is working on a Professor Layton/McDonalds tie-in for the DS at Mac in Japan, which will let visitors grab 3 original puzzles, view an art gallery from the Eternal Diva movie, take a Layton quiz. This is set to start on January 1st and run through to the 28th, with a different puzzle every week. A copy of Devil's Flute is required.
- Layton series has sold 7.9 million units worldwide
