A portion of an NWR review...

The gameplay is unpolished: driving isn't fun and gunplay is defective. The sound is just not good. The game's shining moment is the engine, which is seemingly where most of VD-Dev's efforts were spent. C.O.P. is a forgettable title that had the extreme misfortune of coming out the same year as the vastly superior Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars.

Coming out in the same year as GTA CW isn't going to hurt the game any more than the lack of quality is. I'd not pick it up even if I craved a game like it and nothing else was available.

Too bad this is one of the cases where you could see before release that it won't be a real quality title.

I say kudos to the devs to pushing the limit of the DS. The engine is great, and may in fact one day become a good game. But sadly, that time is not now.

I was skeptical from the first preview video, but also excited. If someone can pull off this game properly, it'll easily become a DS classic.

the comparaison with gta cw made the whole thing sound dubious. It seems like it is another case of deification of gta . Which was always a bad game but dared touched what nothing have ever done. Not the ultraviolence , but rather the pleasure some individual have killing defensless npc that mimics real life.
