There's no doubt that among the big three, Nintendo plays host to the most female gamers. You can be sure that Nintendo is going to do all they can to hold on to this crowd, and build it from here on out. Time for Super Princess Peach 2!

Neither my mum nor my sister would be interested in Super Princess Peach I have to say. I think female gamers are put into a certain corner more often than not when it comes to the games that are "intended" for them.

My mum for example loves Layton and has finished both releases so far. She would've liked to play Phantom Hourglass further than she did, but she can't do hectic action game stuff. So now she's giving magical Starsign a go and enjoys it, although the random fights annoy her a bit when they pop up so often.

This just in: Gamer girls like good games.

This also in: Young girly girls like dress up and animal games.

Where can you find both of these? Nintendo systems. Therefore, Nintendo has the most female gamers.

Problem is not very many of them are core, and given the appeal of the Wii and the newborn nature of it's market we can't be too sure that these female gamers (who seem to compose the largest part of the casual market) will transfer to Nintendo's next system.
