November 25, 2009 by Deux Michaels Filed Under: Wii, GoNintendo Updates

I just wanted to post a little something about this quick because I can't seem to find any news that RMC hasn't already covered. I started coming across everyone's Black Friday Deals and got to thinking. For approx. $50.00 I could own Dead Space: Extraction and A Boy and His Blob. That's 2 games for the price of one! I'm starting to seriously consider it. Does anyone have a particular deal that really appeals to them, or any advice for me and my thoughts?

P.S. Please send me any tips that you may find.... I'm having a devil of a time over here. Apparently everyone is "off for Thanksgiving!" Humbug!

I'm hoping to pick up Halo 3 ODST from Toys R Us for $35 at midnight, then run over to the Best Buy line and get a few games there when they open: Left 4 Dead 2 for $35, Resident Evil 5 for $20, Boom Blox Bash Party, Excitebots, and NPC Pikmin for $15 each. I've got my fingers crossed that all goes according to plan...

Yeah, it's slim pickins on the video game news front. But you should definitely pick up those two games. Both are excellent.

I beat Dead Space a couple weeks ago and I've got one "world" left in A Boy and His Blob. I got sidetracked by Mario, but I'll get back to it soon.

Gonna try to get the PS3 bundle on Amazon. A 120GB Slim comes with Killzone 2, InFamous, and a $10 credit for $300.

I haven't found any Black Friday deal I'm interested in, but I do have some advice for you and your thoughts:

You should post them on Deux's Views. That site needs some lovin'.

I was considering the Tiger Woods 10 deal for $25 at Walmart but if it doesn't come with the Wii motion plus...

What is black friday? The word black, or Ash, (in australia) added before a weekday normally indicates a day of great loss of life due to bush fires.

@Nin2000

In the US, Black Friday is the day after Thanksgiving which officially kicks off the holiday sales period in full with insane deals. It's called "Black Friday" because most stores end up "in the black" that day since most of the US does majority of its big item Christmas shopping that day.

And it's insane. Usually one must get to stores to line up for early 5am openings and most of the biggest sales only last for 4-5hours. It's consumerism fueled pandemonium as sometimes people are actually injured or killed (thankfully that's rare) while people storm the stores and fight over items.

P.S. Apparently my explanation for the name "Black Friday" isn't the original, though it's the one most commonly used now. Originally it was because of traffic? I learned something today! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_Frid ... _Friday.22

None! I get to work at 4:30AM on Friday. So please, be nice to the shop keepers... chances are that we've been up since 2-3AM, and are getting pretty damn cranky by noon. ;)

I'm loving A Boy and His Blob so far - it's an outstanding quality title for the price. I hope it's not overlooked.

Interesting, I guess you must get some good bargains. We only have the post-christmas sales which start in Jan, and then the End of financial year sales, which start around the end of june/ july (when the financial year ends).
