As we all know, the Wii no Ma paid content has launched in Japan, which brings with it more video features for people to mull over. We heard some talk of what the service will provide as the months roll on, but what's out there right now?
It seems like the service is overrun by Pokemon, Kirby, and Sesame Street videos. Some of these features start as low as 50 cents for a 30 minute episode rental. That's actually pretty damn good...if you're into the content named above.
When you look for movie offerings from big-name studios, they're hard to find. Warner Bros. is only offering trailers for “Gran Torino” and “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button” as of right now. There's also some strange features, such as J-League soccer matches, an episode of Meat or Die, and some old 1980s movies. It looks like Nintendo hasn't quite found their footing...or their following yet.

WTF?! Nintendo, are you f***ing stupid?! Like... holy hell, that's the most retarded thing I've heard all week.
Clearly the idea is to start slowly and 'schedule' new movies to appear, rather than just splurge a massive list and hope people want to search through it. It's a pretty neat way to present streaming content, and the filters for searching (including 'best rated' by gender) make it interesting.
And as terryxlr said, I'm glad I can watch most videos on the internet at a higher quality for free.
Kirby is not a bad/terrible kids cartoon.
It is a good anime in its original form. Go watch some of the Japanese version on YouTube and enlighten yourself. =)
