"The Water Temple in the Ocarina of Time was notorious for being very tough to conquer. I am most sorry that it was not easy for you to put on and take off the heavy boots; that all the time you had to visit the inventory. I am very sorry about that. I should have made it much easier to switch to the heavy boots." - Eiji Aonuma
Well, it certainly took a long time to get the apology out, but it's better late then never! Thanks to Greenyz for the heads up.

Did it not feel satisfying having to work to complete it though? I had no gripes with the Water Temple. Period. It was really fun and eerily atmospheric.

@evJeremy
He was the director of that game. And he stated he wont be satisfied with his work until he can surpass what he achieved with OoT on another Zelda game.
So, while he doesnt get something more awesome than OoT besides pretty graphics, he wont give up on the franchise
As for the iron boots, it really wasn't that difficult pressing start and switching boots, it very quickly became second nature and I was upset that the boots became an item in WW and TP.
Yeah, the carrying Ruto portion was surely the most annoying of the water dungeons in that game, not for being challenging, but for its sheer annoyance / tediousness. I know it was for me...
yup thats the word, hate that place
but that's okay now
... you became upset that it became an item?
Huh?
I agree. Constantly switching the water's current and figuring out which passageways to go through made that dungeon a nightmare.
