Man, I was going along just fine...and then my internet died! I was busy typing up an 'EoD' thought on my iPhone, and just as I finished it, the net came back. Quite a frustrating way to end the night, but at least all ended well! You guys enjoy the rest of your night/morning, and I'll catch you in a few, short hours.

This week brought a pretty interesting bit of information pertaining to Netflix. We know that the Wii is finally going to see the service made available, and plenty of people are excited about that. It may be the last console to get into the Netflix fun, but it does have the potential for the biggest impact. While that remains to be seen, now we're hearing that the Wii isn't Nintendo's only platform that could get some Netflix love.

As I'm sure you've read here earlier, a Netflix survey asked about the potential for their service running on the DS. Could you imagine if that really happened? The power of Netflix in your pocket...or slightly out of your pocket if you're going to be a DSi XL owner. Either way, having Netflix on the go via your portable gaming device of choice is a pretty big deal. Of course, this survey doesn't mean that Netflix on the DS is a done deal. As of right now, it's just an idea being shopped around.

I have a simple question for you guys. Is Netflix something you could see yourself using on the DS? If you're on the road a lot, I think this sort of feature could be a huge deal. A little travel buddy that's packed with all sorts of gaming fun...or some films if you choose. Leave a comment and let us know what you think of this possible outcome.

No. I don't want it. I find it really unnecessary and I personally think it would look horrible on those tiny little screens. Pass.

I enjoy watching movies on my iPod Touch, so I guess this would be similar..

Naah, I wouldn't want it on my DS. The quality will be pretty poor anyway.

I have a membership with nextflix and have been for over 2 years and if netflix charges me extra fees just to watch it on my DS then no thank you. Netflix mailed me a ps3 streaming disc for free so I can watch em on my ps3 if I wanted too which I rarely do since closed captions don't work for streaming movies unless its a forgein movie with subtitles.

i don't have a psp and never will; but of any portable gaming device, that should be the one.

yes definitely , streamed from the wii would be great. Other uses i don't know.
I shouldn't care really , we don't have anything similar in europe.

Maybe on DS2 but the sound and the screen just wouldn't really cut it.

I wouldn't mind it. At the very least, what harm could it do? I could see the top screen being used to display whatever you're watching while the bottom screen shows your queue.

At least streaming wouldn't be a problem due to the resolution size. It's a novel idea, and I would use it if no other fees were applied. Also, this will probably appeal to DSi XL users more.

I would use this. TV time at our house is at a premium so I would love to throw on some head phones and catch up on some of my shows while the kids are watching disney. I do think this would work best with the DS XL though. especially for movies.

I say go for it. I have Netflix on both my 360 and my sister's PS3. As long as the service would be free like the others than fine. Theres no need to say no to this. If you don't like it then don't use it.

Really, I don't care. If I don't have to pay extra, then I'll take it - much like the upcoming Wii Netflix. However, I'm not banging on the walls screaming for the feature.

A Nice feature, watching movies on the go, with the DS. It's a pretty cool idea, so yes, I want it.

I'd rather see it happen on the true successor to the DS, with larger screens with more pixels outputted.

Not saying I want HD movies on the go (which would be awesome, but hella expensive), but I want at least standard quality, not some movie with gimped A/V quality

If it could work on a plane, then yes. Otherwise I would just use my computer, 360, or Wii (when it is actually available).

I enjoy films on my PSP, so I have no problem for my DS.

I don't see why anyone would want to oppose it. How would it hurt anything? If you don't want to use it, then don't. Problem solved, and the people who want to use it are happy as much as the people who aren't.

Anything Nintendo does to get over its fear of online features is a good step.

A: Yes

Apply this to every situation.

I DO WANT. My question to those who are against it is... why not expand features of a DS?

I suggest to make it exclusive to the DSi/DSi XL, unless they want owners of the DS/DS Lite to grab a retail version of Netflix cartridge.

I wanna watch a movie while I sleep at night without wasting a lot of electricity. That's my main point. Its speakers are ambient enough for me to fall asleep.
