WarioWare: Smooth Moves was awarded the "Trend & Lifestyle" winner at the 2007 Toy Awards. This category had 223 other entries from 163 manufacturers. The award is picked by an specialized independent jury.
Why did WarioWare win? The jury found the game to be something completely new for video games, really bringing in a physical aspect that isn't found in traditional video games.
