Reader Dree picked up a copy of (the ever-elusive) Carnival Games, and he was a tad offended at the character creation. He isn't the only one either. I have received about 20 emails from people making the same comments.

From what he can see, you can only create white characters. I never know if this is something that truly offends a lot of people, but obviously it is getting attention. I would like to chalk this up to an oversight by the developer, and nothing that was meant to upset anyone. Who knows, maybe there is an option that everyone has missed.
