Toys R' Us has a video game hub page that features the picture you see above. When you click through to view all the games, Mario Kart doesn't come up. Apparently the image came from VGboxart.com, a site for fan-made boxart. I am not sure how this got around to TRU, but I am surprised to see this happen. Huge thanks to JDW for the detective work.
