Reader Lonewolf let me in on this story. It was actually reported on a local news station where he lives. Patrick Goschy, an ex-employee of Midway, claims that he came up with the Wiimote/Nunchuck idea over 10 years ago. You can see his idea in action in the video below. It does indeed look like he had the same types of ideas. Nintendo says that Mr. Goschy did not have any involvement with the Wii, be that ideas or creation.
