I used to check in everyday on the site Wii.com to see if the ownership had changed hands with Nintendo. The site used to be home to Weyerhaeuser Corporation, a forest products company. From what I could see, they weren't willing to sell their domain. After a few months I had forgotten about it, but lucky for me, reader Olli never gave up.

As of recently, Nintendo now owns the domain Wii.com. I wonder how much money they shelled out to the good people at Weyerhaeuser! Check out a screenshot of the ownership below.
