Yesterday I posted a story on Call of Duty 3 for the Wii, in which a Nintendo forums member said that Game Informer metioned that the game would have 16 player wifi. The info was indeed posted in Game Informer, but there was an error. I received a statement from Activision earlier today.

"That was a misprint on Game Informer's part. We wanted to clear up that the Wii version will not have online multiplayer, but is being developed to take advantage of the unique controls and provide an amazing single player interactive experience."

So there you go, no online multiplayer for Call of Duty 3. I think that is a HUGE disappointment, but at least we have the facts straight. Thanks very much to Activision's PR agency for clearing things up.
