November 9, 2008 by The News Team Filed Under: Wii

This poll has just been posted over on Free Radical's website...

Coming up on the Wii, I want to see...

- More regular games like on other consoles
- More games using different peripherals like the balance board
- More short, 'pick up and play' games
- Nothing. I'm bored of Wii

I think this poll hints even more towards the likelihood of Timesplitters 4 on the Wii. Click here to vote for your pick (thanks Mr.Crowley!)

I voted for "More regular games like on other consoles".

I think its funny that "Nothing. I'm bored of Wii" is an option seeing as those people that pick that option wouldn't be bored of Wii if they picked one of the other options that they feel there needs to be more of.

But...then again...they need an option for the 360 and PS3-fanboys to pick.

yeah i voted. picked the cool black guy...oh this isnt the presidential election...but in all seriousness everyone vote for the hardcore game category, because wii has enough pick up and play/wii balance board games coming out.

Nothing. I'm bored of Wii is bascially the pick for trolls. Quite surprised that Free Radical put that on the poll. Not something you would put on a poll if you were serious about what the consumers wanted or if you were serious about developing for the Wii.

People are going to partake in the poll regardless of whether or not it applies to them. Option four filters earnest input from the people who don't own a wii or don't care for it.

Free Radical excels in more "regular" games so I picked the first choice without having to think very hard. I certainly wouldn't mind a mode in Timeplitters 4 built to use the balance board though. Previous Timesplitters games have had some pretty damn creative multiplayer modes and I wouldn't mind the next game taking that creativity a step further.

@HonMule

If you are bored of Wii then you want more games to make you play more. Hence you wouldn't vote "Nothing, I'm bored of Wii," but you would vote for more games. And if you really didn't want to play your Wii anymore, you wouldn't bother coming to GoNintendo.

So I think we can be pretty confident that those that pick the 4th option are Trolls. The End???

I voted for the first one. FRD has hinted at putting TS4 on the wii quite a bit (I've been following the TS4 news pretty close). My only disappointment will be if/when the game does come out and if it has a mapmaker (in the reader responses on the FRD website they said they weren't sure if TS4 is going to have a mapmaker yet, hopefully not serious) that the ps3 version will have a lot more space to make maps than the wii version, but hopefully it will still have a substantial amount. This poll I think is more for a new game that's not TS4. The wii did win in a previous poll for which system do people want TS4 on the most.

We really need a good, local multiplayer FPS game. The only reason I'm not getting The Conduit is because it lacks local multiplayer...

@DonnyDarko420:

This has nothing to do with the actual story, but I felt compelled to mention that right before I accessed GoNintendo, I had been watching "Donnie Darko". I thought that was kind of weird.

Anyway, I really want to see more support from Free Radical so I hope this will help get more games from them on the Wii. Obviously TS4 would be great, but other games would be great too.

@Malachi:

What? I thought The Conduit DID have local multiplayer? Even LAN multiplayer, or so i heard.

Voted #1. Looks like the majority of the community is in agreement.

Also, shame on anyone who voted #4. The Wii could be AWESOME if more devs started doing what HVS is doing (and hopefully Free Radical does). It's pretty damn sad that it's sitting in second place.

TS is a great series. Too much hinting for not seeing FRD delivering. Man, I'm getting so pumped. Please, represent, FRD.

@Totodile:

JUST LAN mp. No split-screen. And I don't know if LAN play was confirmed already.

I've owned nothing but Ninty my whole life. I'm 33. I had never owned another console bedsides nintendo... i was a screaming nintendo fanboy... but just recently I bought a PS3 and it has some azazing games of depth... but Little Big Planet is like the creative ninty game I always wanted. Seriously I hope the wii picks up in the next year, because all my money will be going to the darkside. I only use my wii for Wiisports and Wiifit these days. I'm sad about this, but having the ps3 is like having a Gamecube again... some games with depth that I missed over the last two years. I will buy Disaster and Deadly Creatures Mad World and The Conduit though, just not much else in the near future for wii, especially when I can spend the same amount of money on a ps3 game and feel like I'm getting something addictive, creative and fun for my money. I can't believe I'm even writing this. After a whole life with Nintendo I was forced to the darkside... so Free Radical better do something damn fine for the Wii. Because I feel guilty. But Sackboy is making me smile more at the magic of gaming than Mario has in a very long time.

Timesplitters is one of the best shooters, and I would be really dissapointed if frd doesn't make it for the wii.

I voted "pick up and play" looks like I was the only one. I'm serious too. Bring back arcade gaming! However I don't think Free Radical is the company to do that.

Ever played TimeSplitters 2? They have 3 arcade-style games hidden in it.

Huh, looks like you beat me to the punch...

I've had my Ds Lite for a couple months now and I cant tell you how much more time I spend with it than I do with my Wii, which is a huge problem considering its a portable system I bought for the soul purpose of killing time in classes.

@DonnyDarko420

Just because someone is bored with their wii right now doesn't make them a "ps3 or Xbox fanboy"
Im bored of my Wii right now but does that mean I hate it and regret buying it? absolutly not, every system has a slow period where the good games are hard to come by but I guess if I don't buy that watered-down version of that multiplatform game for my Wii you would still call me a fanboy.
