Why on earth are we talking about Resident Evil 5? No, this isn't about a rumor of the game being ported to Wii...this news is bigger. According to a print ad in the latest Famitsu, the world of Resident Evil may be drastically changed, with the loss of a character. Obviously, if the Wii or DS see any future installments of the Resident Evil series, ones that take place after Resident Evil 5, we may never see this character again. I've put the ad after the jump just to keep from spoiling anything.

Now, we don't know what happens in Resident Evil 5, so all of this may end up being a ruse. I'm sure we'll find out the day RE5 hits other platforms.
