January 15, 2009 by The News Team Filed Under: Wii, Nintendo in general

"We can't quite tell at the moment, but if the negotiations are a success, maybe within the year. We're planning on it." - Fujisoft representative Atsushi Ide

The 'Minna no Theatre Wii' feature was the first streaming video service announced for the Wii. A few months later, Nintendo announced their own plans for a worldwide video service. Is the Wii big enough for two of these services?

Right now, Fujisoft is trying to make the deal happen. The only problem is, they have to talk to Nintendo of America to get it done. With this deal go through when Nintendo has their own service plans?

"Nintendo has the power to push forward their own, original service." - Fujisoft representative Atsushi Ide

Here's a video of what the "Minna no Theatre Wii" looks like on Wii.
