I never really understood the intense hatred that some people have for quick-time events. Granted, I don't think they work well as a main gameplay mechanic (Dragons' Lair), but I think they can be used well within certain games. For example, I think Resident Evil 4 and God of War both use QTEs to their advantage, all while maintaining a much deeper combat system of their own. Which side of the fence are you on?
