This week we got a firm launch date/price for The Beatles: Rock Band. Many questioned whether or not the $60 for the Wii version was the real deal or not. Today, MTV Games has confirmed that the pricing from the press release was indeed correct, making this the first $60 retail Wii game. What do the analysts have to say?

"I don't think $60 will become the standard. Many games have actually started to go the other way -- launching at $40 instead of $50. They [MTV Games] think the market will bear a higher price due to the attractiveness of the content." - Pacific Crest Securities senior research analyst Evan Wilson
