I am in favor of anything that spreads the word on Pikmin a bit more. The franchise may be well known with Nintendo fans, but even then, the acceptance of the franchise isn't anywhere near that of Mario, Zelda, Metroid or other Nintendo staples. I don't know why Pikmin had a bit of a rough time breaking into the market, especially with Miyamoto's name being touted with the release. I'm hoping to see the 'New Play Control' version of the game pull in some gamers that didn't know about the franchise prior to this release.
