UPDATE - I got in touch with Luke Plunkett over at Kotaku to confirm something. The MotionPlus accessory was indeed part of this announcement, so we can expect to pick the device up at the same time.

None other than Satoru Iwata has confirmed the release timeframe for Wii Sports Resort. It looks like Japan will see the game release in June, and then it will hit overseas markets in July. No official day named just yet, but at least we have this puzzle solved.

Now...will there still be a Wii Sports Resort/Wii MotionPlus bundle? Thanks to KingBroly for the heads up.
