A weird bit of speculation popped up today after Nintendo confirmed the release date of Wii Sports Resort and the MotionPlus accessory. Seeing as how MotionPlus hits a considerable amount of time earlier than Wii Sports Resort, many started wondering if Nintendo was going to offer downloadable patches to Wii Sports in order to make it compatible with MotionPlus. I think the idea is a bit crazy, and Nintendo has already shot down the rumblings.

"The Wii MotionPlus accessory is only for games that are designed to make use of its abilities."

There would be no reason for Nintendo to do that...it would kill off a lot of support that's heading Wii Sport Resort's way!
