Our friends at Aeropause are wishing the Game Boy a happy 20th, and the story they have posted brings up similar memories for me.

Back in the day I only knew one person that owned a Game Gear. There came a time when I wanted to check out the system, so I did a swap with that friend. They borrowed some of my Game Boy games and I borrowed the Game Gear and a few titles. While it was cool getting to play Sonic on the go, there was just something about the system that didn't resonate with me. Perhaps it was the lack of puke-green colors.
