But Anyway I really hope they add stuff. I want Online play and Ken. then that will be a day 1 buy, but lack of Online play is fail, Some people can get with friends all the damn time..
Well, that’s pretty shocking. I’m happy I’m now happy that I didn’t import, but I hope that all of the characters stay in tact.
As a side note, I never understood the hate for Capcom. I mean, I know that they didn’t bring Resident Evil 5 or Street Fighter 4 or Bionic Commando to the Wii, and for messing up Dead Rising, but the Wii has two Resident Evil games, Tatsunoko vs Capcom, Zack and Wiki, Spyborgs, and Monster Hunter 3, as well as quite a few re-releases of old favorites.
Personally, I always figured that Capcom was a pretty big supporter of the Wii.
Man, I just got my Nintendo Power from last month a few days ago and others are already getting the new issue? Well, I can't wait to get my new issue and read all about this.
Zack and Wiki was a low budget game. The rest were ports (a mediocre and expensive port in Okami), lightgun spin offs and s***/mediocre games (DR, MotoGP, Neopets). In the meanwhile, the other consoles were getting huge, expensive and fun games. You know, the least selling consoles. And we were getting more kiddy games and RE ports for buying 1 mi+ RE4 - no third person shooting or proper RE. Considering the Wii, they were mediocre, and, comparing with the other consoles, they were Crapcom.
Only NOW that they confirmed both MH3 and TvC for America I can join the HD console gamers in calling them Capgods. Even if I don't give a s*** for Spyborgs (although it looks like effort was put into it) and I hate the terrible ports they are doing with RE0 and RE1.
Holy Crap! How is this f-ing possible? I'm glad I always thought Capcom was a greater developer unlike some people. I can't wait to get this game so I suck at it.
Edit: Oh and it's too bad this game is gonna sell like crap. If people won't buy Madworld there isn't a chance anyone is going to buy this with half the cast unknown to most Westeners.
but far from the respect that I used to have for them.
Why's that? I think their support on the other two consoles have been spectacular. Almost all of the games they've released on there I've enjoyed greatly!
@kozaihod Wait, so you haven't imported it yet but with this announcement of the game coming here, you're going to import it now? I have the imported version and I can honestly tell you that the language barrier isn't that much of an issue. The menus are easy to navigate once you get used to them and the shop where you can buy characters/movies/songs are pretty easy to navigate too since there's icons next to them that identify what you're going to buy.
I do agree with the soundtrack coming out though. It has a great soundtrack!
I'm going to import the NA version for my EU Wii. I'm pretty much sure that Capcom won't bring it to Europe, seeing that the Tatsunoko licenses are even more scrambled here.
Last I've seen (many years ago, when I was watching all this), Yatterman was licensed Europe-exclusive by an italian company, Gatchaman/Battle of the Planets' American version was distributed all over Europe by some dutch company, several companies across Europe own the Karas license etc.
This will bomb. Most people could give two sh*ts about half the characters in this game. They should've put their efforts behind a Wii version of SF IV.
This game will wind up being a lesson to Capcom as to why they shouldn't listen to the vocal minority on the internet.
If the licenses end up cheap (and they probably are, as most people don't care for these characters anymore), localizing is really easy. They are certainly expecting low sales, just like the Okami port. We stop badmouthing them, they have little work and a game on the best selling console (which could end up surprising them, just like the RE4 port was a huge hit).
It is not like companies will stop (more like not start, but whatever) supporting the Wii if it fails.
Because Capcom is working on a game that we know will be a failure when they could be working on something that significantly more people actually want.
They could have spent their manpower working on a Wii version of SF IV. They could've spent their manpower working on a real Resident Evil game for the Wii. Instead they wasted their manpower on a game that will sell a handful of copies at best.
Story Feedback
Edit: never mind.
This is such a random and surprising announcement.
Now I just need money, for god's sake.
As for this news, yay for fans of the game!
Capcom needs more than this..
But Anyway I really hope they add stuff. I want Online play and Ken. then that will be a day 1 buy, but lack of Online play is fail, Some people can get with friends all the damn time..
Not going to stop but it got a +1 from me!
Will it come with MvC2?!

(Also, I'm posting on both versions of the site
This + MH3 in America certainly does the job.

Now, please give the Wii SFIV
MadWorld was a 3D Beat 'Em Up.
Tatsunoko vs. Capcom is a 2D Fighter.
Anyway, that probably means that I will import it this time. Previously, the language barrier scared me off a bit.
And I really hope that they'll release a soundtrack or whatanot. I really want to hear the full version of that opening song!
but far from the respect that I used to have for them.

Whoops, I was too vague.

It would be a serious pain.
Everything makes sense now.
This game will wind up being a lesson to Capcom as to why they shouldn't listen to the vocal minority on the internet.
SF IV on the Wii would be incredible, but it's doubtful that would happen. They would probably just develop a whole new game for Wii.
Which is exactly what they should've spent their time doing if they wanted to release a game that would actually sell.
You thought sales of ExciteBots and Klonoa were bad...well, this game will this game will re-define "poor sales."
@dinofan01
Which is why it's completely ridiculous for Capcom to waste their time bringing this game to NA.
Same here...I just got my Red Steel 2 issue of Nintendo Power a week ago. I have no idea why my mailing schedule is almost a month out of synch.
@Jet Pilot
I'm with you guys. I just got my Red Steel 2 issue last week.
It is awesome, it is coming, and I'll get it.
