I can see that some people think this review is fake as well. I'll mark it rumor for now.
Remember that fake Nintendo Power review for The Conduit? We warned you about it, just incase you came across it while traveling the web. By the end of that day, the faker had been revealed, and his motives behind the punk were revealed.
It's for that reason that I was a tad bit skeptical of yet another review for The Conduit that has popped up. From what I can tell, this one is indeed the real deal, and it's once again from Nintendo Power. After mulling it over, I'm going to run with this one, but I'll keep tagged as rumor.
I will not be posting/linking the full review here. Future Publishing got in touch with me earlier this week to have me remove the Capcom Vs. Tatsunoko picture that confirmed localization of the game. It turns out that the issue hadn't even gotten to subscribers yet...someone snapped the pic at the distribution warehouse. I don't know if the latest issue of Nintendo Power has actually made it to subscribers yet, but I'm not going to chance it.
With that said, you can indeed see the number score from the review after the jump.
Thanks to Greenyz for the heads up!

Story Feedback
Interesting to note, Nintendo Power also gave Red Steel on 8.0…2.5 years ago.
I’m going to have to buy this and read the review for myself.
The Conduit coming out 2.5 years after Red Steel and getting the same score doesn’t make any sense, unless the controls really aren’t that great and maybe like myself, the person that reviewed Red Steel at Nintendo Power didn’t have as many control issues with the game as other reviewers did.
Also, Nintendo Power rated COD:WaW an 8.0...must be rating single player only, and not any multi player aspects of the game.
The review. Looks like it will be fun.
Call of Duty 3 6.5 out of 10 (Release Date: November 14, 2006)
Red Steel 8 out of 10 (Release Date: November 19, 2006)
Medal of Honor: Vangaurd 6 out of 10 (Release Date: March 26, 2007)
Metroid Prime 3: Corruption 10 out of 10 (Release Date: August 27, 2007)
Medal of Honor: Heroes 2 8 out of 10 (Release Date: November 13, 2007)
Call of Duty: WaW 8 out of 10 (Release Date: November 10, 2008)
The Conduit 8 out of 10 (Release Date: June 23, 2009)
Seems a little weird that most of the FPSs you listed got a score of 8. Seems like a conspiracy...
@MattB92
Decent review, but I'm going to wait for other reviews before I say "screw this game." EDIT: Actually I probably will still buy this game, even if it does only get an 8 for most reviewers, because of the multiplayer.
Everyone is overreacting to this.
On the other hand, I spotted no grammatical errors, and the writing was pretty good. I guess we'll see...
I don't think it's a conspiracy, I just think 8.0 seems a little odd for all the hype HVS has been getting behind the game...COD:WaW came for the Wii with no hype and got and 8.0 out of 10, and last October IGN said COD:WaW didn't look as good as The Conduit when they were running on tvs close to each other...so it doesn't make sense to me for both games to be rated the same.
Edited down further:
What I meant was, HVS has been hyping the graphics and controls in the game for a long time, IGN mentioned in a write-up from I think last October, that they saw The Conduit and COD:WaW running on tvs close to each other at some convention, and that The Conduit looked better than COD:WaW...that was in October before they updated the build of the game again, so that's what I meant about hype.
They haven’t even pressed the game disc's yet. The game also won’t hit the store shelves for another 4 weeks.
Regardless if this is a valid review score or not and the fact that an 8.0 is a decent rating… can this be considered a quality review of final code and adequate playtime and evaluation on the part of the reviewer? I would have to say, not a chance.
Hype does not a good game make.
I could be wrong though...
EDIT: I mean, TC is one of the most hyped games on Wii... do you guys seriously think NP would do a single-page review for it, with tiny cropped pics already released on the internet and no mention of Wii Speak and vague observation about online?
EDIT2: And not even neoGAF is talking about this review...
I know, sorry I've been holding our baby in one arm and trying to type with the other...

I totally agree though, many games, like the Halo series I truly believe, got a lot of high review scores because of the HYPE and EXCITEMENT of all the news coverage and great marketing before the games were released.
BTW, where is the link to this written review? I can't get it to work from GoNintendo and can't find it on Google right now.
After just reading the review, I would have to call this a fake. It just seemed VERY GENERIC and looked like information he repeated/reworded was information we already know about...plus, we do know that The Conduit has destructible objects in the game, and he didn't seem to acknowledge this when he complained about the environments not being destructible.
Also, no mention of Wii Speak in multiplayer...FAKE!
E-xactly.
I;m not seeing no non-critical reviews alike MMIX and Punch Out!! for this game.
As A_A said, this should be fun.
What the hell, guys? This is why I don't believe in review scores anymore. We still don't even know if it's the real deal, but come on! You seriously think 8 is bad???
